The Shire of East Pilbara Council resolved on 12 December 2025 to make the Fencing Amendment Local Law 2026, which amends the Shire of East Pilbara Fencing Local Law 2011. The amendment modifies clause 2.8 to allow the local government to approve barbed wire fences or fences with spiked/jagged projections on Industrial Lots, considering safety, convenience, and visual amenity.
