Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, owners/occupiers in East Fremantle are required to clear flammable matter from land by November 30 each year, or within 14 days of becoming owner/occupier. Details specified for land areas under or over 1500 square metres. Firebreaks must be maintained until March 31. Penalty for non-compliance is a fine up to $5000. Burning is prohibited.
