The Minister for Planning has approved the declaration of a Planning Control Area (PCA) over portion of Whiteman Yanchep Highway and the extension of Flynn Drive to Neaves Road. The purpose is to protect lands required for the future highway and drive extension. The declaration is effective for five years or until revoked. Development in the PCA requires WAPC approval. Penalty for non-compliance is $200,000 and a further $25,000 per day for continuing offences. Compensation is payable for land injuriously affected.
