Notice is given that on 16 june 2023, the governor, acting under section 164 of the workers' compensation and injury management act 1981 and with the advice and consent of executive council, exempted oz minerals limited from the obligation to insure pursuant to that act, except for the obligation to insure against liability to pay compensation under that act for, or to pay damages in respect of, any industrial disease of the kinds referred to in section 151(a)(iii) of that act. This exemption ensures oz minerals limited will be added as part of bhp group limited's exempt employer approval.
