It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the abovementioned amendment to the City of Perth Local Planning Scheme No. 2 on 1 April 2025 for the purpose of inserting a new Special Control Area under clause 39 (1) and inserting the following as Special Control Area 35 in Schedule 8.

Requires landowners/occupiers to remove inflammable matter from their land by October 31, 2020, and maintain it until April 30, 2021.
Appoints Konrad Seidl as Chief Bush Fire Control Officer and Vivian Browne as Deputy Chief Bush Fire Control Officer for the City of Perth, along with other Bush Fire Control Officers.
Approves City of Perth local planning scheme amendment related to plot ratio and land use in Claisebrook Inlet and East Perth.
Exempts City of Perth from insuring under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, except for industrial diseases under section 151(a)(iii).
