Issued by the Director of Energy Safety under r.32(3) of the Gas Standards (Gasfitting and Consumer Gas Installations) Regulations 1999. This notice is the Gas Installations Variation Notice 2023 No.2. This notice comes into operation as follows: clauses 1 and 2βon the day on which this notice is published in the Gazette; the rest of the noticeβon the day after that day. Specifies variations to AS/NZS 5601.1 regarding rangehood and exhaust fan clearances for gas installations in buildings with permits granted on or before 30 March 2023.
