Issued by the Director of Energy Safety under r.32(3) of the Gas Standards (Gasfitting and Consumer Gas Installations) Regulations 1999. This notice is the Gas Installations Variation Notice 2023 No.3. This notice comes into operation on 29 June 2023. Where a consumer's gas installation is installed in a building in connection with building work for which a building permit was granted on or before 29 June 2023; and the building permit remains in effect after 29 June 2023, compliance with clause 5.2.11 of ASNZS 5601.1:2022 is not mandatory.
