The 1411 (Complex)—North Ellenbrook (East) amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme has been submitted before both Houses of Parliament. The amendment, depicted on Amending Plan 3.2820/1, is effective from 19 August 2026. Its purpose is to transfer approximately 492.71 ha in Bullsbrook from the Rural zone to the Urban Deferred zone and Regional Open Space reservation in the MRS, facilitating future residential development, school sites, district open space, Public Open Space (POS), and environmental conservation. The City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17 is also amended.
