The council of the Shire of Collie resolved on 23 June 2020 to make the following local law under the powers conferred by the Dog Act 1976 and the Local Government Act 1995. The local law relates to impounding of dogs, requirements and limitations on keeping dogs, and approved kennel establishments.

Authorizes general retail shops in the Collie local government district to open during specified hours on certain days, despite otherwise required closure.
Requires landowners in the Shire of Collie to implement firebreak and fuel hazard reduction measures by December 1st and maintain them until May 31st.
Limits vessel speed to 5 knots in specified areas of Lake Kepwari.
Sets aside an area of Lake Kepwari for water skiing, excluding restricted areas and subject to depth, direction, and daylight hours limitations.
