This order, made by the Minister under sections 13(1), 19(1) and 23(1) of the Act, lists native species as specially protected, threatened, or extinct. It specifies categories such as species of special conservation interest, migratory species, critically endangered, endangered, vulnerable, and extinct species. The order also repeals the previous Biodiversity Conservation (Listing of Native Species) (Fauna) Order 2025 published on 1 July 2025.
