HE401 MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2014 Made by the Chief Psychiatrist under section 525(e) of the Mental Health Act 2014; 1. Citation Missing person, which is— (a) a voluntary patient, to whom treatment is being, or is proposed to be, provided by a mental health service; or (b) a resident of a private psychiatric hostel, whose whereabouts is unknown to the staff of the mental health service or private psychiatric hostel, and the staff reasonably suspect the patient or resident is at risk of harm to themselves or others.
