In accordance with regulation 60 of the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Regulations 2013, a Quarantine Area Notice (QAN) entitled: Quarantine Area Notice—Perth Metropolitan Local Government Authority Boundaries—Polyphagous Shot-Hole Borer (Euwallacea fornicatus) was published in the Government Gazette on 11 November 2022. Under regulation 71, the QAN is subject to the general exemption set out in this notice. Members of an incorporated association may take wood or living plants from within to outside the quarantine area under certain conditions.
