🏥 Provision of Demand and Capacity Modelling Services for Inpatients, Emergency Department and Outpatients
Summary
WA Health awarded a $495k contract to Hardes and Associates for statewide demand and capacity modelling services via Limited Sourcing.
Tender description
The Department of Health (DoH) requires the provision of statewide demand, capacity and scenario modelling for hospital inpatient, emergency department and outpatient services across the Western Australian (WA) Health system. Robust and evidence-based demand and capacity modelling is essential to support informed decision making and long term planning across WA Health. These modelling services provide critical insights into current and future healthcare needs, enabling DoH to assess service demand, evaluate system capacity constraints and test potential scenarios under varying population, policy and service delivery settings. The required outputs of this modelling underpin strategic clinical service planning, health infrastructure planning and investment, workforce planning, demand management and reform initiatives across the State. By providing reliable forecasts, DoH can better anticipate future demand pressures, optimise service delivery, support sustainable healthcare system performance and ensure equitable access to health services for Western Australians. Therefore, DoH is seeking an experienced and qualified Contractor for the provision of these services.
