Tender description
The Department of Health's Licensing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit (LARU) is responsible for the regulation of Western Australian hospital and health services’ accreditation in line with the ten National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards. With respect to licensing, LARU monitors the facilities and responds to any non-compliance with the licensing and/or accreditation standards. It is also involved in the review and planning of new, and the refurbishment of existing, facilities to promote compliance with relevant standards during the architectural and building process. This Request seeks to refresh the Head Agreement for a panel of capable specialist consultancy firms/individuals to provide building assessment and standards review services, in both metropolitan and regional Western Australia. The proposed panel will comprise external consultants from the following Specialist Discipline categories: A). Architectural Consultants; B). Clinical Consultants; C). Fire Engineering Consultants; and D). Engineering Consultants from the following sub-disciplines: (i) Mechanical; (ii) Electrical; (iii) Hydraulic; (iv) Structural/Civil; (v) Acoustic; and (vi) Security.
