🚆 Australind Railcar Vacuum Waste Extraction System - Picton Yard

Contract awarded to Avac Australia for $401,469 to design and supply a vacuum waste extraction system for Australind railcars at Picton Yard.

The scope of this Contract includes the design, supply, and delivery of a complete vacuum-based effluent waste system to service the new Australind DMU railcars at the provisioning roads of the Picton Yard Diesel Railcar Maintenance Facilities. Specifically, the Contractor shall: Design, supply, and deliver a vacuum effluent system capable of servicing two 3-car DMU sets (six railcars) stabled on a single provisioning road. Supply of 4 x Electronic Decanting points to be positioned in near the gangways of each railcar. Ensure system design accommodates site constraints, including in-ground services and pipe run distances. Supply all associated pipework, cabling, and system components. All equipment to be shipped to Picton Yard, State Route 20, Picton WA 6229. Provide installation guidance, interface information for civil and electrical contractors, and all applicable warranty documentation, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings. Provide Design support for generation of vacuum drainage piping layout and Plantroom Modelling.
