The Wungong Brook Management Plan (Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, 2023) (‘WBMP’) was developed in accordance with Condition 3-2 of the Ministerial Statement 1183 to ensure the hydrological regime of Wungong Brook is maintained during construction and operation of the proposal. The WBMP is to be implemented from commencement of ground disturbing activities and for at least twelve (12) months following the completion of construction of the new bridge, or until the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) has confirmed by notice in writing. The WBMP includes trigger and threshold values for the management of direct and indirect impacts to Wungong Brook. Construction of the new Wungong Brook Bridge was completed in June 2025, with the first six (6) months of water monitoring being undertaken in-house by METconnx. This Procurement seeks to engage a suitably qualified team for the continuation of the groundwater and surface water monitoring at Wungong Brook for the remaining six (6) months required under the WBMP or until such time as the DWER CEO confirms in writing monitoring can cease.
