All owners and occupiers of land within the City of Belmont are required to clear firebreaks, remove all fire hazards, and take other precautionary measures by 1 December each year, and maintain them until 31 March of the following year, to prevent bush fires. This notice details requirements for land of different sizes, burning off prohibitions, conditions for solid fuel and gas barbeques, and penalties for non-compliance.
