The Minister for Planning has granted approval to the declaration of a Planning Control Area (PCA) over land on Anketell Road (between Kwinana Freeway and Rockingham Road). The purpose of the PCA is to protect Anketell Road as a proposed primary distributor road and primary freight route. The declaration remains in effect for five years or until revoked by the WAPC. A person shall not commence development in a PCA without prior approval of the WAPC. Penalty for failure to comply is $200,000.
