Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954 owners or occupiers of land situated within the City of Cockburn are required by law to comply with the prescribed fire control order herewithin. Defines authorised officer, flammable material, maintained grass, prohibited/restricted/unrestricted burning times, firebreak time, and structure. Details requirements for properties less than and greater than 4047m2, firebreak specifications, additional works, and burning regulations. Penalties for non-compliance up to $5,000.
