These regulations amend the Public Health Regulations 2017. They prescribe a fee for the cost of hotel quarantine under section 202H(1) of the Act. The prescribed fee is $180 per day (including meals) for a person not in shared accommodation. For persons in shared accommodation, the fee is $180 per day for the first person and $60 per day for each additional person over the age of 6 years. A person may apply to the Chief Health Officer to pay the fee by instalments.
