It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the Shire of Dandaragan Local Planning Scheme amendment on 15 May 2018 for the purpose of amending Schedule 4—Special Use Zone 4, Conditions 5 to read as follows—prior to the commencement of development the site is to be remediated to the extent required for its intended use. Investigations and remediation are to be carried out in compliance with the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and current Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s Contaminated Sites Guidelines. In accordance with regulation 31(1)(c) of the Contaminated Sites Regulations 2006, a Mandatory Auditor’s Report, prepared by an accredited contaminated sites auditor, will need to be submitted to the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation as evidence of compliance with Condition 5.
