The council of the Shire of Kent resolved on 16 October 2024 to adopt the Shire of Pingelly Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2023 as a local law of the Shire of Kent with modifications, including title changes, substitution of 'Pingelly' with 'Kent', and updates to clauses regarding membership and meetings. The Shire of Kent Bush Fire Brigades Local law 2023 is repealed.
