The Council of the Shire of Kent resolved on 16 October 2024 to adopt the following local law, amending the Animals, Environment and Nuisance Local Law 2023, Cemeteries Local Law 2023, Fencing Local Law 2023, and Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2023.

Requires landowners and occupiers in the Shire of Kent to implement fire mitigation measures by November 1, 2020, and maintain them until April 30, 2021.
Prepares a new local planning scheme no. 3 for the Shire of Kent and revokes town planning scheme no. 2 upon gazettal.
Adopts the Shire of Pingelly Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2023 with modifications as a local law for the Shire of Kent, repealing the Shire of Kent Bush Fire Brigades Local law 2023.
