Requires landowners in the City district to clear flammable matter and maintain firebreaks to prevent bush fires.

As a measure for preventing the outbreak of a bush fire, all owners and occupiers of land within the City's district are required to comply with the requirements of this notice. Land zoned 'Rural' or 'Special Rural' must be cleared of flammable matter or have 3m firebreaks by November 1st each year, maintained until April 30th. All other land must be kept free of flammable matter at all times. Penalty for non-compliance is $5,000.
