Given by the board for the purposes of section 164 of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981. Notice is given that on 11 june 2019, the governor, acting under section 164 of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 and with the advice and consent of executive council, exempted the organisations set out in the table below from the obligation to insure pursuant to that act, except for the obligation to insure against liability to pay compensation under that act for any industrial disease of the kinds referred to in section 151(a)(iii) of the act. This exemption ensures the above employers are included as part of the western australian local government association’s exempt employer approval.
