Enacts the Shire of York Cat Local Law 2017 to regulate cats within the district.

Under the powers conferred by the Cat Act 2011, the Local Government Act 1995 and under all other powers enabling it, the Council of the Shire of York resolved on 26 February 2018 to make the following local law. This local law may be cited as the Shire of York Cat Local Law 2017. This local law comes into operation 14 days after the date of its publication in the Government Gazette. This local law applies throughout the district.

Appoints John Goward, Matthew Sharpe, Tracey Saurin, Janene Thompson, and Ashley Windsor as authorised persons for the Shire of York.
Repeals the Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2012 in the Shire of York.
Enacts the Shire of York Cat Amendment Local Law 2018, amending the Shire of York Cat Local Law 2017.
Approves the Shire of York Local Planning Scheme amendment to modify Schedule 1 interpretations.
