Notice Text
As a measure for preventing bush fires, owners and occupiers of land within the City’s district are required to comply with this notice. Land zoned ‘Rural’ or ‘Special Rural’ must be cleared of flammable matter or have 3-metre firebreaks by November 1st, maintained until April 30th. All other land must be kept clear of flammable matter year-round. Failure to comply may result in a $5,000 penalty.
