Under the powers conferred by the Bush Fires Act 1954, Local Government Act 1995, and all other powers enabling it, the Council of the City of Melville resolved on 16 March 2021 to make the following local law. This local law may be cited as the City of Melville Bush Fires (Firebreaks) Repeal Local Law 2021. This local law comes into operation 14 days after its publication in the Government Gazette. The City of Melville Local Law Relating to Firebreaks published in the Government Gazette on 1 July 1997, as amended on 22 April 2005 and 24 June 2005, is repealed.
