This Notice helps reduce the risk of bush fire across the City of Melville and supports the safety of residents, properties and the broader community. It explains the fire prevention work that owners and occupiers must complete and maintain during the Firebreak Period. Owners and occupiers of land situated within the City of Melville are required to carry out specified fire prevention works on or before 1 November 2026, and maintain them until 30 April 2027.
