The council of the Shire of York resolved on 22 July 2025 to make the following local law under the powers conferred by the Bush Fires Act 1954 and the Local Government Act 1995. This local law may be cited as the Shire of York Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2025 and applies throughout the district.

Enacts the Shire of York Cat Local Law 2017 to regulate cats within the district.
