Under the powers conferred by the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911, Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act 2007, Local Government Act 1995 and under all other powers enabling it, the Council of the City of Mandurah resolved on 24 March 2020 to make the following local law. This local law may be cited as the City of Mandurah Animals Environment and Nuisance Amendment Local Law 2020.

Approves the Bridge Garden Bar and Restaurant venue with conditions, effective from December 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021, and allows appeals within 21 days.
Requires landowners in the City of Mandurah to undertake fire prevention work by November 17, 2020, and maintain it until May 31, 2021.
Authorizes general retail shops in Mandurah to open during specified hours on certain days around Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021.
Regulates cat ownership and management within the City of Mandurah through permits and restrictions.
