These regulations are the radiation safety (general) amendment regulations 2017. Regulations 1 and 2 commence on the day on which these regulations are published in the gazette; the rest of the regulations on the day after that day. These regulations amend the radiation safety (general) regulations 1983. In schedule XIV insert in numerical order: 10. Surfaces within the controlled area referred to in item 4 must be rendered non-reflective by means of approved materials to reduce the possibility of hazardous diffuse reflections.
