Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, landowners are required to install firebreaks and undertake fuel hazard reduction measures before 31 October 2019 and maintain them until 15 April 2020. Details include requirements for rural land, town sites, general provisions, harvest/movement of vehicles bans, additional responsibilities and penalties, burning periods, and bush fire control officers.
