Determination of exposure standard different to the exposure standards for atmospheric contaminants in the occupational environment. Made under regulation 5.1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996. The eight-hour time weighted average for respirable crystalline silica is 0.05 milligrams per cubic metre (mg/m3) to take effect on the date of gazettal. The eight-hour time weighted average for respirable coal dust is 1.5 mg/m3 to take effect 12 months from the date of gazettal and applies to all workplaces.
