Rick Fletcher, Executive Director Fisheries and Agriculture Resource Management of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, Western Australia, permits the licence holder and master of a boat authorised to be operated in the Fishery to operate with standard nets with a total headrope length that is not more than to 8.3 per cent greater than would otherwise be permitted by the current entitlement provided no more than two standard nets are used. Fishing is only permitted prior to 31 December 2023.
