These regulations are the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Western Australia) (Temporary Exemption) Regulations 2023. Regulations 1 and 2 commence on the day of gazettal, the rest on 1 September 2023. Exempts provisions of the Environmental Protection (Prohibited Plastics and Balloons) Regulations 2018 relating to items not defined as prescribed drinking straws, plastic bags or plastic items as of 28 February 2023, and Parts 3A to 3C. These regulations are repealed on 1 September 2024.
