Under the powers conferred by the Local Government Act 1995, the council of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder resolved on 12 August 2019 to make the following local law, which amends the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Activities on Thoroughfares and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Local Law, as published in the Government Gazette on 18 August 2000.

Requires land owners and occupiers in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to clear and maintain firebreaks annually by October 1st.
Appoints Bushfire Control Officers for the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to administer the Bush Fires Act 1954.
Authorizes general retail shops in Kalgoorlie-Boulder to open on Saturday 26 December 2020 from 9.00am until 2.00pm.
Appoints Corinna Smith and Charlotte Huckerby as authorised officers and Amanda McDonald as registration officer for the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
