Subregulation 417(1A) Declaration — Tow Trucks and Unladen Motor Vehicles
Exempts tow trucks towing unladen vehicles from Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014 subregulation 417(1a) if the combination's total mass does not exceed the tow truck's gross vehicle mass.

I, Hon David Michael mla, Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport, acting pursuant to regulation 457 of the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014, hereby declare that subregulation 417(1a) does not apply to a tow truck that is towing an unladen motor vehicle, where the total mass of the combination does not exceed the Gross Vehicle Mass of the tow truck. Gross Vehicle Mass has the meaning given in the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012. This declaration takes effect upon it being published in the Government Gazette.
