To prevent bush fires and to minimise the spread of a bush fire, all owners and occupiers of land within the City’s district are required to comply with the requirements of this Annual Fire Hazard Reduction Notice. Owners or occupiers of land zoned ‘General Rural’ or ‘Special Rural’ under the City of Gosnells Town Planning Scheme No. 6 are required to clear flammable matter. Failing to comply is an offence under the Bush Fires Act 1954, which carries a penalty of up to $5,000.
